Stakeholders capacitation, a developmental initiative that was brought to the community of Mutoko District by Partnership for Social Accountability Alliance to improve confidence, best approach to engage duty bearers of various departments in the District bore fruits.

Speaking to the Social Accountability Monitoring workshop held in Mutoko, Ruchera Resort. Partnership for Social Accountability Alliance which was being implemented by Action Aid through it’s up takers Disaster and Environmental Management Trust, (DEMT) and  Zimbabwe Smallholder Organic Farmers Forum, (ZIMSOFF) have managed to bring positive feedback, success stories or testimonies of how they have benefited through the capacitation.

One beneficiary, Talent Humanikwa was over the moon negotiating with the donor that if there are other means of extending the project, they have to reconsider since the project is in itsp completion. She further stated that the capacitation allowed her to engage with various stakeholders that includes Mutoko Rural District, District Development Coordinator’s Office with confidence knowing that she is capable of pitching issues that needs urgent attention.

Various stakeholders that were present also confirmed how they have benefited through the project.
